You’ve got to love New Canaan! Sunday’s howling wind, light snowfall and sub-zero temperatures didn’t stop residents from visiting Spencer’s Run dog park in Waveny.

Spencer’s Run, the Waveny Park Dog run is open. The ‘best’ news of the year is a change, almost undetected by visitors. Large stones have been pressed into the ‘new’ grass areas, providing traction and drainage.

This past weekend presented idyllic weather for a stroll in Waveny Park. Temperatures were in the 40′s with sunshine and a calm breeze but if you brought ‘man’s best friend’, you found our dog park still locked down! The first snow of the year fell on an already closed Spencer’s Run in Waveny Park, New Canaan. Though it rained only once this week, Spencer’s Run has been closed since Tuesday, Nov. 25th.
