The first snow of the year fell on an already closed Spencer’s Run in Waveny Park, New Canaan. Though it rained only once this week, Spencer’s Run has been closed since Tuesday, Nov. 25th.

Rainy weather caused the people who paid to padlock the park in the name of protecting their property. That’s right! The dog park is closed to protect it from the dogs. Saturday and Sunday I arrived at Waveny Park to find a dozen or more dogs wandering on leash outside the New Canaan dog park. [...]
